Hog

All Year Long

With a keen sense of smell, remarkable intelligence, and a reputation for tenacity, hunting wild hogs with a traditional stickbow adds an extra layer of skill and excitement to the pursuit. Their ability to exploit different habitats makes them a challenging and elusive quarry for stickbow hunters. Known for their intelligence and keen senses, wild hogs are wary and elusive creatures. They are primarily crepuscular, meaning they are most active during dawn and dusk. During the day, they often seek cover in dense vegetation or wallow in mud to regulate their body temperature and protect themselves from insects. Wild hogs are social animals, forming groups known as sounders, typically led by a dominant sow.
